We are a passionate team of data enthusiasts with a mission to empower Endeavour to achieve its ambitions through data driven insights.The Machine Learning Engineering Chapter Lead - Advanced Analytics sits in the Group Data Practice in the Advanced Analytics Team and is a specialist skill/people management career pathway at Endeavour. The Machine Learning Engineering capability’s core purpose is to productionise Machine Learning models and monitor productionised model performance.Endeavour operates an Agile, matrixed environment, with Practices/Chapters providing people management and capabilities, whilst Product squads deliver business missions. Chapter members are embedded in cross-functional Product delivery squads, bringing their specific skill to that squad to deliver on the Product initiatives. Sound good? Read on.Here is a taste of what you can expect in this roleRecruitment, line management, delivery squad allocation and capability uplift of the Machine Learning Engineering capability at EndeavourAct as a servant leader for your chapter membersCoach, mentor, support and upskill the chapter members to ensure that we have the capability necessary to deliver value through the delivery squadsDrive the creation and maintenance of standards to ensure quality delivery of the capability across the organisationWork closely with Product Managers to recruit and allocate chapter members into delivery squads.Contribute to delivery, providing the Machine Learning Engineering capability within a cross-functional agile squad. QualificationsNow let’s talk about you10+ years experience in Machine Learning Engineering or a similar capability, including code optimisation, MLOPs, model management, containerisation, deployment and monitoring model performance2+ years leadership capability with a proven track record leading high performance teamsAdvanced knowledge of Machine Learning Engineering industry frameworks and professional standardsExperience in Technology delivery, waterfall and agilePython and SQL skillsExperience with distributed programming (e.g. Apache Spark, Pyspark)Software engineering experience/skillsStrong knowledge of Data ScienceExperience working with big data cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS)Devops experienceCI/CD experienceExperience with Unit Testing, TDDExperience with Infrastructure as codeDesired/Advantage experienceGoogle Cloud Platform experienceAzure Databricks experienceExperience working with retail offline (e.g. store sales) and online data sets (e.g. ecommerce)Experience working with Personally Identifiable Information (PII) dataExperience working with unstructured dataData science knowledgeRetail industry experienceExperience with Java and/or C#Experience with Object-Oriented programming (OOP) Consulting experienceExperience with vendor management The benefits are good too!
