We are a fast-paced orthopaedic practice with 2 exciting roles available. We are seeking both a medical/audio typist as well as an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team in Geelong.
These are both part time positions of 3-4 days a week, with a cross-over of days varying from Monday to Thursday between 9am-5pm. In these permanent roles, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and organised operation of our specialist medical practice. Renumeration based on experience. Free parking on site.
Medical Typist:
We are looking for an experienced typist with an eye for details and a commitment to maintaining the integrity of medical records to join our fantastic team that provides exceptional care to our patients.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Accurately transcribing recorded dictation
- Transcribing medical questionnaires and reports, consultation letters, operation reports and other healthcare related documents
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Typist is essential
- Touch typing skills of 70wpm with 85% accuracy
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical transcription software desirable
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in the use of computers, windows based and medical practice software packages - Proficiency in Zedmed highly desirable.
Medical Receptionist:
We are looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our fantastic team that provides exceptionalfront desk reception service to patients, work effectively as part of a small team and help ensure the smooth running of this busy practice.
This is a part-time position with the possibility for growth.
You will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient and organised operation of our busy specialist medical practice, that operates across several sites.
Our practice is fully accredited, a friendly family-orientated environment with supportive and friendly staff.
Qualifications and Experience
We would love you to have:
- Previous experience in a General Practice or Specialist setting is desirable
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic and flexible
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Zedmed program (preferred but not essential)
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member
- Ability to learn and operate new software quickly and efficiently
- Professional and personable phone manner
- Attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills
- Must have the ability to cope with a fast-paced environment
