Responsibilities:
As a Machinist/Mechanical Fitter, you will:

• Operate and maintain lathes and milling machines
• Conduct precise mechanical measurements
• Oversee the rebuilding of bearing housings
• Machine commutators on electric motors
• Utilize balancing machines effectively
• Assist in dismantling/reassembling diverse rotating equipment
• Collaborate seamlessly with fellow machinists and electrical workers
• Strategically plan jobs, coordinate repairs, and uphold organized work methods
• Offer recommendations for enhanced performance and customer satisfaction
• Provide valuable insights to management for operational improvements
• Conduct thorough inventories and inspections for necessary tools and consumables

Qualifications and Skills:

• Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification with a minimum of 3 years of trade experience
• Proficient in operating manual lathe, milling machine, and balancing machine
• Experience in handling various welding machines
• Accurate use of measuring equipment
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards
