As a Machinist/Mechanical Fitter, you will:
- Operate and maintain lathes and milling machines
- Conduct precise mechanical measurements
- Oversee the rebuilding of bearing housings
- Machine commutators on electric motors
- Utilize balancing machines effectively
- Assist in dismantling/reassembling diverse rotating equipment
- Collaborate seamlessly with fellow machinists and electrical workers
- Strategically plan jobs, coordinate repairs, and uphold organized work methods
- Offer recommendations for enhanced performance and customer satisfaction
- Provide valuable insights to management for operational improvements
- Conduct thorough inventories and inspections for necessary tools and consumables
- Mechanical Fitter Trade qualification with a minimum of 3 years of trade experience
- Proficient in operating manual lathe, milling machine, and balancing machine
- Experience in handling various welding machines
