Techforce Personnel have partnered with a leading WA based lithium producer, dedicated to providing battery grade lithium hydroxide sustainably and reliably to achieve a clean energy future. The partnership involves the recruitment of a number of business-critical roles across various business functions not limited to but including Operations, Human Resources, IT and Business Support.
The Role:
The Mechanical Fitter will form a part of the Maintenance Team reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor. This role will perform necessary maintenance activities within the business’ framework for HSE, HR and asset management policies. You will be responsible for maintaining conveyors, ball mills, crushers, apron feeders, screens, pumps, DMS, floatation, etc.

- Pay rate of $67.50/hour on Days and $74.25/hour on Nights
- Contract to Permanent Opportunity at a newly constructed and commissioned plant
- Weekly Pay
- Starting ASAP
- Participate in the execution of the Fixed Plant Operational Readiness Plan
- Participate in the development of maintenance plans, tactics, and safe work instructions
- Liaise with OEM’s during installation of fixed plant equipment
- Provide maintenance support to other departments as required
- Execute planned and breakdown maintenance to maximise reliability and quality of fixed plant assets
- Identify and put forth opportunities to improve equipment reliability and work procedures
- Maintain equipment to the highest standard to ensure production targets are met
- Undertake all work in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with statutory requirements, policies and procedures
- Comply with all health and safety, environmental and regulatory policies relating to the project and ensure a safe working environment
- Ensure effective working relationships are built and maintained with the supervisor, team members and other departments and stakeholders, both internal and external
- Contribute as a team member in establishing the desired organisation culture
- Support and coach team members, managers and employees.
Your Experience and Competencies:
- Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
- Relevant Mechanical qualification
- A current WA “C” class driver’s license
- 2 years fixed plant maintenance experience
- Operational readiness – preparation of preventive maintenance activities
- Commissioning – understanding design intent, fault finding and problem solving to rectify any equipment performance issues
- Computer competent—MS office, SAP
- Sound knowledge of proactive maintenance principles
- Demonstrated problem solving capability
