Neville Smith Forest Products is looking for a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join their team. Key accountabilities include:
- Design, implement and manage a digital preventative maintenance system.
- Oversee the NSFP group’s repair and maintenance budget.
- Schedule and plan effective shut down periods to achieve preventative/crucial tasks required in the maintenance space.
- Maintain a rostering plan for all maintenance personnel on all sites to ensure adequate coverage across all shifts.
- Develop and manage a group procurement strategy for power transmission, fuels/oils and all consumables required to perform the maintenance activities statewide.
- Develop and manage a continuous improvement plan for the group across all sites.
- Develop a recruitment training platform that attracts, supports and develops apprentices.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a processing industry.
- You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- You have strong budgeting and negotiation skills.
- You are reliable, dynamic, hard-working with a drive to succeed.
- You are flexible, adaptable and enjoy learning new systems and procedures.
- You enjoy operating as part of a team but are comfortable making decisions autonomously when required.
- You have the ability to forge strong working relationships with our customers and team members.
- You have a ‘can do’ attitude.
- From time to time, you will need to be available outside of business hours.
- A license check, pre-employment medical check including regular and ongoing drug and alcohol screening is mandatory.
- You are legally entitled to work in Australia.
