About the Role
A full-time opportunity is now available for a Handyman/Maintenance General Hand. This is a challenging role where you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance requirements in hotel rooms, public areas and grounds and facilities. You will need to have the ability to multitask, prioritise and manage the daily workload. You will have excellent organisational abilities and develop cooperative working relationships with our suppliers and contractors. The work you undertake at the hotel will always have a focus on creating a safe work environment for yourself and the team.
Previous Experience / Qualifications
Previous experience within the hotel industry is an advantage but not essential, your experience in property maintenance and preventative maintenance programs will be highly regarded. You will require excellent communication skills, be customer service focused and work cooperatively with other key stakeholders in the hotel. Trade qualifications would be a bonus for this position.
Personal Attributes
The successful applicant will be required to work Monday-Friday between the hours of 0800 - 1530, some occasional weekend work required relevant to operational needs.
You will be well presented, definitely a team focused player and capable of working unsupervised. You will have strong initiative, common sense and a sound work ethic.
