We are looking for a building Maintenance Coordinator to assist with Building handover and ongoing defect management for the defect liability period in Queensland.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:
- the ability to assess the work and determine the cause and responsible trade
- be able to complete rectification work where necessary
- good interpersonal skills when dealing with homeowners and clients
- the ability to work independently
- good knowledge of Dashpivot to report the completion of work
- QBCC license and construction White Card
Must be a registered Carpenter and be able to complete the following:
- Proficiency in basic and advanced carpentry techniques
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements.
- Familiarity with a wide range of carpentry tools and equipment, including hand tools (e.g., saws, drills, hammers) and power tools (e.g., table saws, jigsaws, nail guns).
- Understanding of different types of wood, lumber, and other building materials, including their properties and appropriate uses.
- Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
- Ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop effective solutions to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- skills in planning, organizing, and prioritizing maintenance tasks, as well as coordinating resources and scheduling work to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication with team members, contractors, and other stakeholders to convey instructions, discuss project requirements, and address concerns.
- Being meticulous and thorough in examining structures, identifying defects, and executing repairs or renovations with precision.
- Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and promoting a culture of safety among team members to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Understanding of budgeting principles and cost estimation techniques to manage expenses effectively and optimize resource allocation.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, unexpected challenges, and varying work environments in a dynamic maintenance setting.
