Maintenance Electrician

The Maintenance Electrician will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment at our manufacturing facility. Working as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance team, the successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This position requires a strong background in electrical maintenance, preferably in the FMCG and food manufacturing sector. • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on electrical systems, machinery, and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

Preventive Maintenance:

• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively to prevent unplanned downtime.
• Document maintenance activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history records.

Safety and Compliance:

• Comply with electrical codes, regulations, and industry standards to maintain regulatory compliance.
• Participate in safety training programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety awareness and compliance.

Continuous Improvement:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions and best practices.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of reliability-centred maintenance strategies to enhance equipment performance and reliability.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or technical training is required.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and equipment commonly used in manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Experience working in an FMCG or Food Manufacturing site highly sought after.
