We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team at our Stanhope site.
Your Purpose:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you'll use your vast electrical experience to navigate through changing work priorities to plan and implement preventative maintenance initiatives, particularly around our cheese manufacturing, whey processing and powder drying plants.
You'll be a key member of the Maintenance Team with a strong focus on Health and Safety and maintenance best practices.
Your forward-thinking, drive, and ability to achieve results will benefit you here, as you'll have plenty of scope to drive continuous improvement on equipment and process reliability with some of the industry's leading-edge automated technology.
A natural at coping with change, you'll be capable of reacting to unplanned breakdowns and troubleshooting issues as they occur. Additional areas of focus include undertaking a broad range of preventative maintenance tasks, to be actively involved in equipment improvement and reliability and to ensure equipment is operational and available to meet production requirements of the business.
Operating in a fast-paced 24/7 environment, this role is a great opportunity to work as part of a close-knit technical team and test your skills.
This role operates on a 6-week rotating Roster - with one week of nights and a weekend coverage required in this rotation. Availability for On Call is also a requirement.
What you'll bring
You will need to be a registered A-grade electrician with a current practicing licence. Other beneficial skills and experience include:
· Experience with PLC's, VSD's and instrumentation (Allen Bradley PLC's preferred)
· Strong diagnostic skills and dealing with breakdowns.
· Knowledge of CMMS (MEX)
· Knowledge of IWS or TPM would be highly beneficial.
· Proven work experience in a maintenance role in a dairy, food manufacturing facility advantageous.
· Experience in general maintenance functions such as equipment repair, failure analysis, root cause and preventative maintenance in an industrial environment.
