AddressKyvalley Dairy Group is a 100% family owned business based in Northern Victoria. It is a vertically integrated dairy business owning and managing Dairy Farms that support the fresh milk manufacturing plant. This position will join our Engineering team in our Kyabram location to cover the electrical maintenance requirements for the whole of our business.
The role of Maintenance Electrician is responsible for performing the electrical maintenance, modification, repair, servicing, and inspection requirements within our business. This will include work in our fresh milk processing facility located in Kyabram. The role is accountable to the Engineering Manager, and you will also liaise with a range of internal and external customers, and contractors.
The following are some of the Key Responsibility of this role:
- Pursue the continuous improvement of our plant equipment and systems.
- Work closely with management in relation to all maintenance and equipment failures.
- Apply a planned and preventative approach to electrical maintenance.
- Provide feedback and implement procedures improving plant quality and safety.
- Ability to work on a rotating shift roster across day. Night and weekend rosters, with the ability to be on call out of hours.
Skills & Experience Required
- Trade qualifications in Electrical (A Grade license).
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of food quality and safety procedures.
- Experience in a relevant maintenance and repair environment, preferably food or beverage.
- Skills in programming, fault finding using Allan Bradley PLC's and VSD's would be highly desirable.
- A sound knowledge of electrical components and in possession of a disconnect/connect license.
- Strong fault-finding skills and a sound knowledge in all areas of FMCG electrical requirements.
- Forklift Licence (desirable).
- Ability to apply initiative and strong problem-solving skills while working autonomously or in a team.
