Your Role
You’ll work closely with the Maintenance & Reliabilities Manager whilst supporting production operations and KPIs. On a daily basis your role will require you to:
- Perform Breakdown, Routine and Preventive Maintenance tasks on all Site Production and Infrastructure, and complete associated paperwork
- Participate in Shop Floor Team Meetings to drive improvement programs
- Ensure work undertaken complies with HACCP, Food Safety and Quality guidelines
- Perform General Construction and Fabrication
- Reading and Working to Diagrams, Drawings and Site/ Asset Plans
- Maintain the efficiency of Plant Equipment and Machinery
- Maintain Leak detection and Control
- Adhere to Lean Principals and ideally 5S
- Ensure Yard and Workshop areas are kept clean, safe, accessible and in good working order
- Adhere to Work Health and Safety practices
- Work on Preventative Maintenance Schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise
- Assist in machinery installation and repairs, and ensuring Work Flow is consistent with directives from Management
- Undertake the necessary training as required to extend knowledge and skills
The position is a Full-time Permanent position on a Salary. It will include 38 hours per week, dayshift hours and occasional weekends. The company offers a flexible working environment such as Time Off In Lieu and minimal to no travel is required. The company engages in high-performance systems to mentor and train people to their capacity.
About You
- You are an experienced Maintenance Fitter & Turner, ideally from the Food or Dairy Production sectors
- You might have a B Class Electrical Licence or Test & Tag experience
- You ideally have a Welding certificate – High Pressure
- You have relevant Tertiary Trade Qualifications as a Fitter & Turner
- Ideally a Forklift Licence and First Aid Certificate
- You have experience with Pump & Valve Seals
- Computer skills experience in excel and a maintenance records
- An understanding & practitioner of 5S principles
- You have experience in reading and sketching technical drawings
- You are well presented, well mannered and a positive influence in the team
