An exciting opportunity exists for a Maintenance Fitter to join our Water and Waste Directorate. This position is available anywhere in the Isaac Region. Reporting to the departments Maintenance Planner, the Maintenance Fitter position is responsible for the maintenance/servicing of various plant and equipment in with the operations and maintenance areas of the Water and Waste Directorate at Isaac Regional Council (IRC).
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Mechanical Fitter/Trade qualification or Trade qualifications relevant to the position.
- Certified qualifications in welding and fabrication (highly regarded).
- Qualified and competent operations of the following: excavation machinery, lifting/crane equipment or forklift (highly regarded).
- Demonstrated experience with Mechanical problem solving.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of pneumatics operations, installations, repair and replacement.
- Construction Card.
If you are successful in this position, we will give you:
- Salary $81,632.23 per annum, plus allowances;
- Council housing;
- 9-day fortnight
- Nominally 76 hours per fortnight;
- 5 weeks annual leave @ 17.5% loading;
- Up to 13.5% super in accordance with IRC’s Certified Agreement;
