Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Planned Maintenance Excellence: Take charge of all planned maintenance, breakdown responses, and execute extended maintenance activities across our manufacturing site.
- Continuous Improvement Focus: Drive continuous improvement activities on production lines, supporting the deployment of solutions to enhance productivity and foster a performance-driven culture.
- Troubleshooting Expertise: Utilize your mechanical skills and experience to troubleshoot, resolve technical problems, and enhance reliability/performance on-site plant and equipment.
- Collaborative Relationships: Develop and maintain close, collaborative working relationships across the entire manufacturing operation.
- WHS Standards Adherence: Ensure strict adherence to all WHS standards for maintenance tasks, including Permit to Work and Contractor Management.
- Optimal Equipment Performance: Collaborate closely with the Production Team to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Documentation Integrity: Ensure the integrity of documentation, data, systems, and accurate SAP data entry.
- Post-Maintenance Standards: Deliver equipment to standard post-maintenance to ensure a smooth vertical start-up.
- Planning Support: Assist planners with the planning of corrective work, maintenance days, and shutdowns (labour resource, parts, services, etc.).
- Problem Solving Expert: Act as a subject matter expert in higher-order problem-solving with a focus on mechanical and process aspects.
- Team Coaching: Coach Manufacturing Team members in machine operation, set-up, set to standard (Centre Lining), and fault-finding.
- Production Throughput: Apply effective countermeasures and containments to ensure production throughput is maintained.
- Accountability: Take accountability for handovers, RCA's, and planned or corrective work order technical completion tasks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Trade qualification certificate in a Mechanical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in FMCG manufacturing, particularly with automation equipment, high-speed packaging and processing equipment, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, palletisers, hydraulics, and pneumatics
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Strong fault finding and problem solving skills
- Demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Maintain an outcome-focused mindset with a positive "can-do" attitude.
- CMMS experience.
- Possess a strong training and coaching background.
- Experience in leading Root Cause Analyses (RCA).
- Familiarity with SAP EAM.
- Experience in the lean manufacturing industry.
- Restricted Electrical License.
