About the role:An exciting opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Fitter to work on dayshift as part of a supportive team at our Mushroom growing facility in Mernda. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, key responsibilities include a proactive approach to programmed maintenance, daily repairs to plant and machinery and key involvement in identifying process improvement.
- Conducting routine inspections of site assets
- Perform maintenance, including tests, measurements, adjustments, parts replacement, lubricating, and cleaning of plant and equipment.
- Conduct condition-based maintenance and fault reporting.
- Assist with the disposal of obsolete machinery, plant, and equipment.
- Instal new machinery, plant, and equipment.
- Conduct breakdown maintenance in accordance with Costa’s reactive maintenance strategy.
- Fault find using technical manuals, diagrams and/or machine knowledge.
- Diagnose maintenance requirements and monitor performance.
- Provide engineering solutions for continuous improvements.
- Liaise with Contractors.
- Assist with the coordination of onsite contracting work, including equipment.
- Support and comply with the Costa Group Work Health and Safety Policy, including the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace for the protection of all employees.
- Must have a Completed apprenticeship in a metal trade to qualify as a Level C9/C10 Tradesperson including Fitter and Machinist or Fitter and Turner.
- Driver’s Licence preferred.
- Restricted Electrical Licence beneficial.
- Forklift licence beneficial.
- EWP and Scissor Lift Licences beneficial.
