Pacific People Solutions is very pleased to partner with our client to source an experienced Maintenance Superintendent for their mine operation in WA. The mine and processing plants are currently in care and maintenance however the camp is operating providing accommodation and meals to other nearby operations.
Our client is looking for a hands-on energetic Maintenance Leader to oversee and conduct critical maintenance and ensure mine equipment is in best state possible when operations recommence. The ideal candidate will have autonomous fault-finding and problem solving skills, be cost conscious and have a “can-do” attitude.
Reporting to the MD and Commissioning Manager your key accountabilities will include:
Plan and execution of maintenance of existing plant and equipment including inspection, servicing and repairs as needed.
- Provide maintenance support to operating camp.
- Supervision of small team and when required, contractors.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and repairs performed.
- Prepare reports on maintenance activities, performance and equipment health.
- Providing Input into budgets
- Engage and provide input into design teams plans for new plant planned for site
Further to these key accountabilities you will be charged with monitoring and reporting on legislative compliance.
Our client has a strong focus on Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Legal Compliance, you will conduct work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate;
- Relevant mechanical or electrical trade qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in base metals processing plants, specifically crushing and milling circuits, flotation circuits, tailings system and ore-handling systems
- Knowledge of the Mines Safety & Inspection Act and Regulations
- Current WA C-Class driver’s license
- Sound computer skills
- 3-5 years experience in a similar lead/supervisory role.
