In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead your crew ensuring everyone works safely and efficiently.
• Provide Step-Up Supervisor support where required.
• Conduct mining practices to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Source technical information including, technical bulletins, OEM and computer-based systems, be able to read and understand schematics - electrical and hydraulic.
• Carry out effective inspection and reporting processes in accordance with relevant site policies and procedures.
• Assist the Production Supervisor with leading a mining crew to deliver production results safely and efficiently.
• Maintain radio communications for shift activities.
• Warehouse control on night shift
• Ensure good housekeeping standards are always maintained.

Requirements

• Relevant trade qualifications
• Proven leadership experience and people management skills is essential.
• Previous experience as Crew Leading Hand in an open-cut coal mining environment.
• A solid understanding of the processes involved with open cut coal mining.
• Experience in general service, maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and proper diagnostics
• Great organisational, communication and presentation skills coupled with approachable and motivational qualities.
• Computer system JDE
• OEM computer based systems
• Experience with CAT, Komatsu and Hitachi Heavy Earth Moving Equipment
