Woodlands Retirement Village is situated in Sydney’s leafy suburb of Cherrybrook. Our over 55s village offers a quiet serene environment, unlike any other retirement village.
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance manager to attend to all general maintenance and gardening requirements, to ensure the village is kept in optimal condition and presentation.
The Maintenance Manager will have a solid and broad understanding of Asset Management Plan, all aspects of repairs and maintenance, Health and Safety regulations, an empathic nature and the aspiration to turn your hand to anything.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Liaise with (owners) residents moving in and out of the village;
- Provide a clean and safe environment that promotes person centred care;
- Undertake all Reactive and Preventative maintenance requirements;
- Maintain gardens including weeding, irrigation and lawn mowing;
- Maintain the swimming Pool, record daily water testing and chemicals;
- Manage all Village Services and Systems, ie water, electricity, communications, lifts, air conditioning, etc;
- Organise appropriate Trades as required, including site inductions
- Manage relationships with contractors and suppliers;
- Arrange furniture and room setups for resident functions;
- Move rubbish bins for collection and return;
- Assemble furniture, hang artwork/TVs, change light globes, deliveries, help where needed;
- Generally, manage the daily operations of the building
About you
- Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and asset management/ordering systems
- Passionate about caring for seniors and have the ability to ignite the same in others;
- Previous experience in general maintenance and repairs;
- Possess excellent communication and time management skills;
- Able to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines;
- Flexible in responding to resident’s choice and changing needs;
- Ability to work in a small team and autonomously
