Made in Australia since 1921, Lysaght manufactures and markets steel building products that have helped shape the nation: from iconic corrugated roofing over Australian homes, to large commercial and industrial projects. As a Maintenance Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment, machinery, and facilities. You will be responsible for managing the overall whole of life Asset maintenance including preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting issues to minimise downtime and optimise production efficiency.
Working predominantly Monday to Friday, this role will require the flexibility to support the operations across the region along with additional work hours to ensure continuous production. You will lead a team of Maintenance Fitters, Electricians, Maintenance Specialist and external contractors. This position offers a 38-hour work week, ensuring a balanced and productive work environment.

Will You Do?
While leading your team and having a direct impact on the delivery performance of BlueScope, you will be the point of contact for equipment and maintenance. Your responsibilities will include:Safety Culture Champion: Championing a safety culture of accountability by setting clear expectations, defining roles and responsibilities, and holding team members to high standards. Asset Planning and Execution: Develop and execute whole of life asset plans and strategies for all equipment across the region.
Optimal Asset Management: Maintain and manage the assets to maximise availability and reliability and to meet statutory requirements in a cost-efficient manner. Timely Breakdown Resolution: Addressing and resolving machine breakdowns promptly and efficiently with a heightened sense of urgency. Timely Shutdown Management: Ensuring the well-planned and timely coordination of shutdowns for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
CAPEX Planning: Develop CAPEX plans. Continuous Improvement and Coaching Support: Continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance strategies, alongside providing dedicated coaching and mentoring to direct reports and team members for comprehensive team development. More
