The Role
Leading independent girls’ school, Camberwell Girls Grammar, presents an opportunity for a Maintenance Officer & 2IC to join our team on a full-time basis. As the 2IC to the Property Manager, you will be responsible for performing hands-on maintenance tasks to maintain the school’s property and grounds to a high standard.
You will make an impact by:
- Performing manual labour, routing maintenance tasks/repairs and building and furniture construction
- Deputising the Property Manager to provide day-to-day guidance to the team, assisting with job planning, prioritisation and scheduling and being a point of contact for enquiries
- Collecting, transporting and storing furniture, equipment, building materials and archival records
- Set up and pack down of functions and sporting events
- Working collaboratively with external contractors and trades people
- Covering leave for the Property Manager

You have a can-do attitude and take pride in producing work of a high calibre. Friendly and collaborative in your approach, you build effective working relationships and can adapt easily to last minute changes or requests for assistance. Your strong work ethic supports you to take the initiative and effectively work independently.
You will have:
- Trade background and/or trade qualification
- Previous experience in an education setting desirable
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current Criminal Record Check
