About the Role
As Village Maintenance Officer you will help maintain the beautiful retirement living community located at Chermside, just opposite the Westfield shopping centre. Further you will:
- Provide residents with home maintenance as well as general onsite maintenance, gardening and cleaning
- Facilitate waste management schedules
- Maintain external environment and provide general assistance and support as requested
- Drive and maintain the village bus
- Maintain store areas with chemicals store correctly
- Set up and clean up functions as required
Requirements:
- Full time role, Monday to Friday from 7am - 3pm
- Hold a trade qualification or equivalent for the role
- Hold a current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work
- Demonstrated experience within a handyman/Maintenance Officer role
- Ability to work as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Proof of vaccination status as required by Legislation, Health Directives or WMQ Policy throughout employment and prior to commencement
- Relevant probity checks required by Legislation and WMQ policy
