As the Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the building and surroundings. Your duties will include:
- Managing Reactive and Preventative Maintenance
- Minor property repairs (i.e. light bulbs, door hinges etc)
- Maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies
- Upkeep of gardens and entranceways
- Monthly reporting
- Work closely with the Area Manager
- Inspect grounds, facilities, and equipment routinely
- Delegate work to staff as needed
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, major repairs
To be suitable for this role, you must have:
- Must have previous experience and background in all areas of hands-on maintenance
- Qualifications in trade or trade-related enterprises would be beneficial but not essential
- Sound computer skills
- Have a patient demeanor when dealing with residents
- Excellent communication skills
- Have a valid driver’s license and car
