About the role:
We are seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our team. You will work on-site at our residences located in Surrey Hills, to provide high-quality repairs and maintenance for our Residential Homes.
Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be assisting our Residence Manager in ensuring the interior and exterior of our properties are maintained to an exceptionally high standard. You will also be responsible for ensuring all essential service equipment and plant equipment are maintained at a high level by managing the various contractors employed to conduct regular services.
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a property maintenance related role
- Experience in building maintenance practices
- Experience in contractor management in a building environment
- Understanding of safe work practices and OH&S procedures
- Knowledge of any facility management software is desirable
- A qualification or trade in a property/technical/facilities field would be desirable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Competent in using a variety of tools and equipment
- Physical capability to undertake a wide range of activities
- Intermediate computer skills
- Reliable, with a strong work ethic and initiative to get things done
- Current drivers licence
