Form of workReporting to the Maintenance Manager you will provide accurate maintenance planning and scheduling in support of project maintenance activities and will also be responsible for the management of equipment maintenance systems to ensure the reliable and productive operation of equipment is always maintained.
Duties include but are not limited to:
• Evaluate maintenance requests, set priorities and process work assignments.
• Establish and maintain a reliable network of outside vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effective and timely support of the maintenance function.
• Establish and communicate the level of quality and safety expected in the performance of maintenance tasks.
• Develop a functional understanding of all essential building systems to assure systems are operating correctly and efficiently.
• Develop monthly, weekly and daily schedules for all preventative, corrective and ad hoc maintenance work.
• Ensure all activities are conducted in a safe manner, compliant with WHSE policies and procedures.
• Create, track, and improve Job Plans.
• Scope the full extent of maintenance work needed to conduct the relevant repair/ preventive/ predictive/ design-out activities.
• Ensure key performance indicators are captured and reported for equipment reliability and planning and scheduling effectiveness in CMMS systems such as MEX and JDE.
• Manage priorities and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise scheduled jobs.
Success Requirements
• Strong knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics and experience using MEX system.
• Relevant Trade Certificate.
• Previous manufacturing/mining exposure.
• Adequate skill in leading a team to know when to lead by doing and when to delegate tasks in a way that empowers their team.
• Ability to manage priorities and collaborate with stakeholders to optimise scheduled jobs.
• Adequate skill in using spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel.
• Sound ability to read and understand schematic drawings, plans and specifications.
