JOB DESCRIPTION
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Planner / Fitter to join our team on a Full-time basis, working approximately 38 hours per week with some flexibility in hours required. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this role is pivotal in ensuring preventative maintenance, work requests, and ad-hoc tasks are assigned and appropriately resourced and scheduled for completion utilising MAP WA maintenance resources or contractors. This is to ensure minimal downtime to the processing facility, while ensuring the facility remains compliant with all legislative and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan maintenance activities via MEX, including preparing parts availability, contractor and specific work permits (e.g. hot work, etc.)
- Ordering and maintaining spare parts inventory
- Develop maintenance strategies, as well as scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring the maintenance of all mobile and fixed plant equipment
- Organising schedules/work orders for the entire maintenance team inclusive of mobile maintenance, fixed plant, and electrical assets
- Organising parts and labour needed in a timely manner for future works, contractor labour and offsite repairs to minimize disruption to operations
- Attend to breakdowns as required
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to manage budget, reviewing reports and providing up to date estimates
- Capture data, input data for analyse and generate asset reports
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- 3+ years’ experience with CMMS – MEX or similar, essential
- Previous experience in purchasing & inventory control
- A solid understanding of basic mechanical & electrical components
- An Engineering or Trade qualification & mechanical or electrical background would be highly desirable but not essential
- The ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- The ability to be highly motivated and self-driven with outstanding attention to detail
- The ability to build rapport across multiple internal stakeholders
- The ability to work with minimal supervision, with exceptional organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills
- High attention to detail
