The Role – Head Of Growth and Marketing

As the Head of Growth and Marketing for IICT, your role is pivotal in driving the company’s expansion (both domestic and internationally), increasing brand awareness, and maximizing revenue generation through strategic marketing initiatives.

This multifaceted position requires a unique blend of creativity, analytical skills, leadership, and a deep understanding of consumer behaviour and market trends.

You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives, ultimately contributing to its overall success and growth.

Location: Byron Bay Head Office – 3/84 Centennial Circuit, Byron Bay NSW.
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  1. Developing Marketing Strategy: You will be responsible for creating and implementing a robust marketing strategy that aligns with the company’s growth objectives. This includes identifying target markets, analysing market trends, and developing innovative campaigns to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition.
  2. Brand Management: As the custodian of the company’s brand, you will ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels and communication touchpoints. You will work closely with our Content and Social Media Manager to develop compelling brand messaging and visuals that resonate with the target audience.
  3. Digital Marketing: Overseeing all digital marketing initiatives, you will be responsible for managing the company’s online presence, including: email marketing, social media, and online advertising campaigns. You will analyse performance metrics to optimize digital marketing efforts and drive conversion rates.
  4. Content Strategy: Developing a content strategy that engages and educates the target audience is essential for building brand credibility and driving customer engagement. You will oversee the creation of high-quality content across various platforms to support marketing campaigns and enhance brand visibility.
  5. Lead Generation: Implementing strategies to generate high-quality leads and nurture them through the sales funnel will be a key focus of your role. Collaborating with the sales team, you will develop lead generation campaigns that drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.
  6. Partnerships and Collaborations: Building strategic partnerships with other businesses, influencers, training providers and industry leaders can help amplify the company’s brand reach and drive growth. You will identify potential partnership opportunities (both domestically and international), and negotiate mutually beneficial collaborations to expand the company’s market presence.
  7. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analysing marketing performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of marketing campaigns is crucial for optimizing strategies and maximizing ROI. You will be responsible for generating regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  8. Team Leadership: Building and leading a high-performing team is essential for executing strategies effectively. You will provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
  9. Management: We are seeking an experienced manager to lead our high-performing team to new heights of success. You will be expected to help drive innovation, foster collaboration and achieve results for the team. Working closely with the CEO you will assist with on-boarding new hires and support the CEO with team monthly reviews and on-going development.

Your Skills and Attributes

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role, with a focus on growth marketing and digital marketing.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Creative thinker with a track record of developing innovative marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Proficiency in marketing tools and platforms, such as Google Analytics, CRM systems (Hubspot), social media management tools, and marketing automation software.

Soft Skills

  • We are a close-knit team, operating with a high degree of personal responsibility and emotional intelligence. Joining the team means being transparent and accountable as well as having and open and curious mindset.
  • Being coachable, you will be mentored by the CEO and expected to participate in monthly strategy sessions with our business coach.
  • Participate and lead team meeting and conduct team one on one sessions monthly.
  • Have a commitment to continuous learning, both personal and professional development.

Who you will be working with

We are a team of 20, in particular you will be leader and coach to our whole team and report directly to the CEO. The team members you will work closer with will be our Head of Content, Systems Manager, Business Analyst, Sales Manager and our Content and Marketing Assistant.

You will also participate in monthly strategy coaching calls with our business coach, and join in with our daily huddles; fortnightly whole team WIP meetings as well as our quarterly and annual planning days.

We also have fun at IICT, you’ll join us in our office antics, and quarterly fun and adventure days.

Our Systems and Tools

We utilise the following systems and tools: WordPress; Hubspot; Notion; Microsoft Teams; Signal; Employment Hero, to name a few.

Rewards & Benefits

  • Generous salary- $120,000-$140,000 (TBC at your interview), plus bonuses based on hitting KPI’s and peak performance
  • 4-day week (reviewed after 6-months of being in the role at 5-days a week)

Hours

This is a full-time position for a 12-month minimum commitment. Once you’ve completed 6-months with us, you will be moved to a salary and a 4-day work week. Yes – you read that correctly! Work life balance is very important at IICT.

We believe we can accomplish just as much in four days as we can in five days – if we’re happy in our lives. There are copious amounts of research on the four-day working week and we’re proof of it in action.

After 3-months of working at IICT, we will do a review of your performance. We will also conduct a survey where you can provide us with feedback and you’ll have the opportunity for further advancements throughout the year.
