GMS is seeking to employ a Mobile Maintenance Planner to ensures that all routine maintenance activities are appropriately planned (resources, parts, equipment, tooling) so that the work progresses on schedule in a safe, efficient and repeatable manner.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, responsibilities of this role will include;
- Implement and update maintenance plans and frequencies for mobile plant and equipment
- Prepare a rolling plan including all work orders from routine maintenance and for shut down maintenance work.
- Ensure that all work packs uploaded and maintained in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for system integrity.
- Create and maintain work orders and requisitions (materials and services) in the CMMS.
- Order parts/services, obtain quotes, create specifications as required to ensure quality assurance, and allow for future warranty considerations.
- Liaise with Supply to expedite external parts and contractor labour suppliers, where necessary.
- Manage the backlog and enter work orders into the rolling 12-week plan.
- Monitor the maintenance costs and assist with compiling budget estimates.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and that statutory inspections are programmed into the computer management database.
- Ensure all safety hazards, environmental hazards, incidents, damage, breakdowns and potential plant or equipment stoppages are reported and investigated as soon as practicable
This position is based in our Head Office in Perth and will include travel to Site from time to time.

We are looking for a Mobile Maintenance Planner who is highly motivated and enjoys working alongside like-minded professionals in a growing team and company. Someone who is keen to get involved with a project start-up and share their knowledge whilst gaining exposure to multiple parts of the wider business.
The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following criteria;
- Trade Qualified (Mechanical/Electrical) – or relevant Tertiary Qualification
- Significant demonstrated mobile maintenance planning experience in the mining industry or heavy industry
- Extensive knowledge & highly efficient in the use of the computerised maintenance management system (PRONTO) and advanced level use of the Microsoft software (MS Project & Excel)
- Driver’s license (C Class, manual car)
- Familiarity with the Work Health Safety Act 2020 and Work Health Safety Mine Regulations 2022(or equivalent).
