About the role:
We are seeking a Maintenance Planner to take on a pivotal role within OPS.
The successful applicant will have demonstrated experience planning and scheduling in a large workshop environment, or ideally within the mining / resources sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the work schedule for the workshop to enable the team to carry out equipment maintenance, repairs and rebuilds with consideration of deadlines, agreed work scope, required man hours and trade classifications.
- Produce work plans 3 weeks in advance, including refurbishment, minor repairs and equipment servicing & forecasting completion and timelines.
- Reconcile parts and materials required for each job and coordinate delivery in advance.
- Identify and report extra works / variations to the plan, working closely with the client to determine if extra work carried should be carried out.
- Utilise the Asset Management System – Pronto – to its full capabilities to meet the deliverables of the role.
- Establish, budget and review the pre-delivery, post-hire, and workshop job costs, working closely with the Service &Technical Manager to financially track all jobs.
- Regularly review the planning approach and workflows, identifying areas of improvement in order to implement changes efficiently and effectively.
About you:
- Mechanical trade background desirable.
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering considered.
- Experience working in a large workshop environment is essential.
- Experience working either with mobile or fixed plant in the mineral processing, quarry industry or bulk materials handling is highly desirable.
- Excellent computer literacy skills, including Office Suite and Pronto ERP system.
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously.
- Strong analytical approach to problem solving and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise work schedules.
