Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, the successful candidate will be considered a leader in work management and shut management and be able to accurately plan all corrective, preventative and predictive shut down maintenance to maximise efficient and effective execution of the maintenance team within the processing maintenance department.

- Publish and deliver completed weekly schedules for the fixed plant and electrical teams, light vehicle mechanics and the site services teams.
- Provide weekly forecasts for up to 12 weeks in advance, developing accurate work packs and shut Gantts.
- Ensure all work involving critical hazards is identified in the planning of work and all permits required are listed as tasks in the work orders.
- Comply with the companies OHS/environmental regulations and legislation, including all site policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety investigations are completed in a timely manner and closed out within the prescribed period.
- Minimise waste generation and damage to the natural environment.
- Communicate all progress, updates, and non-conformance in line with the process.
- Prepare detailed work plans, including accurate resources, equipment, plant, and materials.
- Prepare quality schedules that include maximal resource utilisation and all required material available.
- Provide solid work packs, including work instructions, checklists, safety documentation and any reference material.
- Provide planning and tracking support during shut periods.
- Actively look for and identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Construction White Card (WA)
- Trade qualified trades person (mechanical, electrical, or metal fabrication)
- Current “C” class Western Australian drivers’ licence.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in the mining industry, working on fixed plant maintenance.
- Computer literacy – Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Pronto/Pronto XI
- Effective communication/relationship building skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
- Awareness of mine safety and Inspection Act & Regulations.
- A proactive approach and involvement in continuous improvement processes.
