Our Rail Division is seeking a Maintenance & Production Planner to work closely with our managers and staff to ensure the timely execution of our wagon maintenance contracts in accordance with company policies, and best practices.
About the role:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Planner is responsible for planning and monitoring the execution of rolling 12-month maintenance plans to meet demand and drive productivity improvements, while balancing capacity and resource restrictions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Trade qualification or tertiary training in a relevant field is highly desirable
- Proven experience in maintenance, engineering or production-based roles
- Experience or exposure to MRP/ERP/CMMS maintenance planning systems such as SAP, Epicor, Maximo, Oracle, AX, Dynamics etc
- Experience in rail, aviation, oil and gas, mining or minerals processing industries highly desirable but proven experience in heavy industry is essential
- Experience in use of Microsoft Excel is essential
- Exposure to QA/QC and Engineering systems and procedures is desirable
Duties:
- Work with the management team and customer to development rolling maintenance plans, variations, work order management and resource levelling
- Contribute to development and implementation of business processes and frameworks
- Liaise with a variety of internal and external stakeholders across multiple levels of the organisation to effectively plan the execution of work in alignment with the Production Plan
- Communicate work in progress
- Ensure accuracy of material kits, work orders, & stocktakes
- Drive a positive culture amongst work groups and enact continuous improvement
- Attend Weekly Production Meetings.
- Cataloguing new materials and maintaining material master data
- Maintain Daily reports
- Review Maintenance Strategy with manager and customers
- Creation of Purchase orders and requisitions
