Job Description
The Role
You will be a member of the Planning & Scheduling Team within the sites Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Scheduler role will be responsible, for preparing accurate weekly schedules that optimise resource, material and equipment utilisation to achieve the highest level of maintenance efficiency and equipment reliability of the processing fixed plant assets, as well as support the short-term maintenance planners.
KeyResponsibilities
Co-ordination of weekly maintenance activities through optimisation of resources
Driving continuous improvement throughout the process plant.
Ensuring Tradespersons tool time is maximised
Providing leadership to other planners and supervisors within the department
Review work orders prior to scheduling to ensure that estimates for labour, skills, materials, equipment and external services are included and optimised
Ensure costs are minimized by constantly reviewing maintenance practices and identifying areas for improving efficiencies and productivity
Planning, scheduling and aligning weekly tasks
Monitor work close out and ensure adherence to work management KPI’s
Creation of 12-week forward schedule
Chair key maintenance scheduling meetings
WorkExperienceRequirements
Considerable experience in a similar role gained in maintaining, fixed plant Mechanical and electrical teams
Several years’ experience in a similar role - desirable
Experience in computer based maintenance systems - SAP (essential)
Experience in Prometheus scheduling tool (desirable)
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, Project PowerPoint and Visio
Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment
Flexible, adaptable and work well under pressure in a fast-paced demanding environment.
Demonstrated commitment to Albemarle corporation values and achieving an incident and injury free environment.
Strong understanding of Work Management processes
Education/ Qualification Requirements
Current Drivers Licence (C Class)
Forklift Licence (desirable)
Trade Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical (desirable)
