The Role
The Role
Reporting into the Shift Supervisor and working a 12hr rotating shift (6am- 6pm & 6pm-6am) the key responsibilities of the role will include but are not limited to:
- Maintaining safety, quality, and manufacturing standards
- Operating high speed machinery including:
- performing changeovers
- troubleshooting
- machine adjustments
- basic maintenance tasks
Key Responsibilities
- Attending to mechanical breakdowns on shift
- Reading & following SOP’s
- Contributing to our approach of continuous improvement and helping to achieve world class operational performance
When required:
- provide high level trouble shooting of process problems
- preventative maintenance tasks
- assist in necessary modifications
- technical assistance to reduce production equipment downtime and spoilage
- assist in machinery changeovers
- monitoring machinery and resolving issues
About You
What we are looking for
- Fitter qualification
- 3 years mechanical maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Excellent communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing
- Availability to work across 24hr rotating shift patterns
