Based at our Smithfield plant, we have a great opportunity working permanent full-time for an individual passionate about planning working within our Maintenance team. You will work with a diverse range of people in a dynamic, fast-paced team environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintain a safe system of work in the workplace by complying fully with all statutory and company safety and quality standards.
- Ensure that our SAP system is utilised, and processes followed for Purchase Requisitions, Goods Receival, Purchase Order management. SAP experience is preferred.
- Stakeholder liaison.
- Liaise with vendors, manage inventory, and engage contractors where additional skills and resources are required. Assist with contractor management where required.
- CMMS experience with MEX preferred but not essential.
- Daily review of downtime issues and overall plant performance to prioritise work orders.
- Produce work orders for trades team to ensure compliance and completion of planned tasks.
- Plan key maintenance tasks and ensure parts and resources are secured and prepared for the successful completion of the task.
- Inventory control: Stocking and maintaining stock levels and be part of the role out of a standardized store system.
- In conjunction with the trades team, develop and maintain availability of critical spares for the site and where they can be sourced from in the event of an emergency, that is – what other Visy site carry the same spare instead of waiting for a vendor.
- Loading and unloading goods using forklifts. Forklift license preferred but not essential.
What you will bring to the team:
- A proven record of accomplishment scheduling and planning in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Previous experience maintaining a stores system.
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and SAP
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills and able to engage stakeholders/contractors.
- Trade Qualified Cert III Engineering Preferred but not essential.
- Having well aligned values to that of the organisation.
