Maintenance Team
Petuna is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our maintenance team, situated at our production processing plant located in East Devonport.
The maintenance team is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and servicing of all site facilities, plant, and equipment, in accordance with the highest safety and compliance standards.
The successful candidate will primarily work a Monday to Friday roster. However, occasional overtime and weekend work may be necessary. Flexible work arrangements can be discussed and negotiated as needed.
Duties
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, key duties and responsibilities for the role include:
- Conduct all work safely, in line with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all facilities, plant and equipment are maintained and serviced to meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
- Ensure that all breakdowns are minimised and repairs and corrective actions identified are carried out in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all requests / corrective actions that may affect the safety or integrity of an asset are given an immediate priority, action and outcome.
- Organise purchases required for maintenance and for capital projects as advised.
- Ensure site maintenance skillset and capacity is developed, specifically to suit operational demands.
- Develop and assist maintenance staff in day-to-day operation in relation to all maintenance as needed.
- Maintain and service all facilities, plant and equipment as directed, to meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
- Ensure that all breakdowns are minimised, and repairs and corrective actions identified are carried out in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all planned, unplanned and corrective action maintenance, via our Windows (MEX) based maintenance software system.
- Ensure that all requests / corrective actions that may affect the safety or integrity of an asset are given an immediate priority, action and outcome.
- Communicate to help ensure critical spares are available onsite as needed.
Qualifications Required
- A trade qualification in a relevant discipline, preferably a licenced electrician.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role will be highly regarded.
- Mechanical/marine engineering experience would be an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience in proactive maintenance scheduling and systems.
- An established background and commitment to safe work practice and systems.
- A work ethic that is highly organised, with excellent time management and prioritisation skills.
- An ability to make decisions independently whilst having the foresight to consult the Maintenance Manager when necessary.
