About the opportunity
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with expertise in equipment maintenance within a pharmaceutical or similarly regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have a trade qualification and a minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance, with at least 3 years specifically within the pharmaceutical, veterinary, medical device, or large-scale food manufacturing industry.
**Full-time, permanent position therefore candidate must have full working rights in Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on various equipment and systems, including purified water systems, boilers, trade waste systems, and filling and packaging equipment.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP or similar system requirements, demonstrating a thorough understanding of regulatory standards.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking, and documenting maintenance activities.
- Demonstrate competence with computerized control systems used for equipment operation and facility monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining professional relationships and providing updates on maintenance activities.
- Trade qualification in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or instrumentation).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment maintenance, with at least 3 years within a regulated industry such as pharmaceuticals.
- Strong knowledge of cGMP or similar system requirements.
- Experience with purified water systems, boilers, trade waste systems, and filling and packaging equipment.
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and basic use experience as a minimum.
- Competence with computerized control systems used for equipment operation and facility monitoring.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships.
- Must have full un-restricted working rights in Australia**
