This charitable Foundation works in partnership with hospitals, health facilities and research units to raise much-needed funds to enable them to continue to provide the best patient care and drive life-changing research seeking solutions to health problems impacting the local community.
They have experienced substantial income growth and positive media coverage this year. This is an exciting time to join a newer team, working together to embed best practice processes, who are excited for the year ahead with the anticipated arrival of their new Head of Philanthropy & Fundraising.
The Role - Philanthropy Specialist
This newly created role will join a growing team, collaborating with other philanthropy colleagues to identify, cultivate, and secure Major Gifts from existing and new donors.
There is the opportunity to be creative in your approach as you focus on raising philanthropic funds for a specific health service that supports terminally ill young people and a research institute impacting multiple research projects.
Role Responsibilities & Your Experience
- Use your demonstrated relationship fundraising expertise to build strong stakeholder relationships with researchers, clinicians and healthcare professionals to identify their funding needs
- Use your exceptional communication skills to develop relationships over the phone, face-to-face and through written form. You will develop memorable fundraising impact reports, funding proposals, solicitation letters & cultivation collateral for donors
- An inspiring storyteller, share stories and inspire a variety of high-value supporters to give generously to the Foundation.
- Coach and educate healthcare staff, clinicians, and researchers to promote the Foundation’s philanthropy programs and drive a philanthropic culture
- Be Innovative & Data savvy, utilise the donor CRM system for accurate moves and data management, prospect tracking and reporting. Review data to recognise potential opportunities
- Team Player, you will be an adaptable and self-driven candidate operator who inspires and lifts your teammates driving a collaborative culture
