About the role  

The main focus of the Management Account is to support the Group Finance Manager to deliver the analysis and understanding of the financial performance, cost and support for the commercial decisions needed in the business to achieve the long-term objectives of the business. This role is primarily focused, but not limited to, the production, sales and capital projects of the business. The business is growing, which provides a great opportunity to be involved in business development and expansion of the group.

Duties include but not limited to 

  • Support of the relevant business partners by sound analysis
  • Support the Group Finance Manager
  • Assist with month end preparation where required.
  • Lead on budget and forecast preparation
  • Reporting and Analysis
  • Be the primary support for the managers in review of the monthly accounts in order to drive review understanding and actions.
  • Margin analysis of sales information
  • Assist with preparation of the monthly corporate report.
  • Assist in identifying reporting tools to make processes more efficient 
  • Costing of product to ensure information is provided the correct direction
  • Management of ad-hoc information requests and analysis 
  • Involvement in growth and development of the business
  • Flexibility to travel, as required 

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting
  • Accounting and Administration experience
  • ERP system knowledge and experience
  • Commercial business experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to deliver and discuss financial results to all levels of the organisation
  • Ability to provide margin analysis on sales information
  • Ability to prepare monthly corporate reports
  • Ability to identify reporting tools to make processes more efficient
  • Ability to provide costing on products
  • Management of ad-hoc information requests and analysis
  • Valid drivers licence
  • Desirable
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing industry
