35Hr Week Mon- Fri - Office Based Bankstown
Pay Rate $58.70p/h + Super (PAYG)
3 Month temporary assignment with Canterbury Bankstown City Council. strong exposure to Local Government experience using SAP with experience with business intelligence reporting programs.
Duties:
* Management Accounting, Budgeting and Financial planning experience
* Liaise with managers to develop , prepare, monitor and control Council Budgets
* Evaluate budget proposals and proposed business cases
* Assist in budget reviews, analyse and project trends for reporting to Management and Council
* Assist in developing and monitoring corporate budget reporting mechanisms through management accounting and reporting system
* Assist in formulating long term financial planning and budget development strategies and policies
* Assist in evaluating budget performance and financial management accountability across all units
* Identify opportunities for improvement with regard to the organisations financial management systems
* Assist Finance Unit to comply with all statutory financial, taxation reporting obligations
* Assist the preparation and timely lodgement of all statutory returns, reports and reconciliations
* Assist in identifying, improving and mapping all relevant financial processes
Essential Experience:
* Highly developed interpersonal and analytical skills
* Ability to plan and prioritise work
* Excellent customer relationship skills
* Relevant computer skills (including Microsoft Office applications)
* Experience using SAP Financial System
Desirable Qualifications:
* Eligible for membership for ACA,CPA or CIMA
Desirable Experience:
* Local Government Accounting Experience
* SAP Financial System
* Experience with Business Intelligence reporting programs.
