Reporting to the Head of Finance you will be an integral part of a team of financial professionals. Your role will involve providing top-tier financial management services including budgeting, proactively updating forecasts and providing financial insights to the business.
Key responsibilities include the following
- Financial and revenue services to internal stakeholders
- Budget preparation, forecasting, financial modelling
- Delivering management accounting services, preparing budgets and forecasts for research grants/contracts, generating reports
- Ensuring compliance with funding regulations
- Maintaining financial systems
- Organize financial acquittals for external funding bodies
- Support business decision-making through insightful analysis, identifying trends and opportunities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial management practices and procedures.
To be successful in acquiring this role you need the following skills and attributes:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications along with CPA or CA status
- Extensive management accounting experience
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant experience in technical and administrative fields
- In-depth understanding of financial management, policies, standards, and legislative requirements.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
