Our low carbon vision, targets 10% renewable gas in our distribution networks by no later than 2030, with full decarbonisation of our networks by 2040 as a stretch target and by no later than 2050.
About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a financial savvy individual to join our Financial Control team as a Management Accountant. This position supports the Financial Controller by contributing to the strategic financial reporting. The Management Accountant delivers efficient accounting analysis across AGIG.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the completion of month end accounting tasks including general ledger journals, analysis, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
- Specific responsibility for all cost allocation journals, reconciliations and ad hoc analysis using SAP S4/HANA
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and yearly reports for both internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in the reconciliation, analysis, and processing of intercompany cross charges with other AGIG entities
- Contribute to the initiation and implementation of process improvements
- Partnering with the business and providing comprehensive accounting and financial support as required
- Support the broader finance team as required
- Support the annual budget and quarterly forecasting process as required
About You
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other relevant discipline
- Experience with SAP or SAP S4/HANA
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- 5 years' experience working in Accounts, Financial or other relevant disciplinary position
