We are seeking a skilled and driven Management Accountant to join our dynamic team. As a Management Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, preparing reports, analyzing data, and providing strategic recommendations to senior management. Responsibilities:
- Monitor and manage financial transactions related to the import and distribution of Asian food products, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- End-of-month close and completion of period-end journals, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including budgets, audits, payroll, and bookkeeping, to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Review and analyse of the Balance Sheet and Trial Balance, including general ledger reconciliations, investigations and resolution of any variances
- Maintain Fixed Assets Register and generate depreciation
- Processing payroll and accounting for payroll accruals
- Prepare monthly/quarterly IAS/BAS
- Assisting with the half-year and year-end audits including providing support for the compilation of the data required in the annual reports.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, assess profitability, and highlight areas for improvement, supporting informed decision-making.
- Evaluate financial risks and identify growth opportunities in the Asian food import and distribution industry to drive business success.
- Present financial insights and recommendations to senior management, contributing to the development of effective financial strategies and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements specific to the Asian food import and distribution sector.
- Manage tax reporting and filing processes, staying up-to-date with tax laws and regulations.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting professional growth.
Skills required:
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting, and risk assessment.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, regulations, and accounting practices.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey financial insights effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and tax laws is advantageous.
- Previous experience in the Asian food import and distribution industry is desirable.

Base Salary: $88,000 ~ $95,000 + Super per year
