Our Finance team across the Asia Pacific, New Zealand & Australia region (‘APNA') provide a trusted front line financial support service. As part of our commitment to developing and servicing our key clients, we are looking for a Management Accountant to join us in our Head Office. Working within a tight knit Finance team committed to three business units and 11 countries across the APNA region, this newly created, opportunity will see you reporting into the Unit Management Accountant and taking on a number of new and on-going systems and process improvement initiatives.
Your opportunity
Day to day, your role will see you coordinate, prepare, and consolidating the region's monthly management accounts, annual budget, and periodic forecasts. You'll work closely with our Unit Management Accountant on the reporting and analysis of the monthly management accounts for the units, investigating and reporting of significant income and cost variances, analysis of project profit deteriorations and improvements in each month.
This role will support the Unit Management Accounting team in partnering with Regional, Unit and Country Managers to assess business performance, adherence to strategic business plans, recognise corrective actions, identify claims for additional fees and changes to staff requirements.
About you
- Relevant tertiary education in Accounting or Finance
- Understanding of technical Management accounting background
- Experience as a Management Accountant in a large, complex organisation
- Advanced user of Excel and business modelling
- Highly proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint; Word; Excel etc)
- A record of partnering with a large team across multiple locations
