Located at our vibrant Mount Waverley Office, you will join a strong team of Management Accountants, and tasked with managing forecasting & budgeting across Victoria. Travel to our regional offices may be required.
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining rolling forecasts for each project and business unit and provide inputs into group cash flow forecasting
- Partnering with the management team to support and advise on operational and strategic decision making and drive key initiatives and performance
- Presenting financial results and commentary to the management team and directors
- Responsibility for financial accounting and reporting, budgeting/forecasting and the planning process
- Ensure KPI’s are in place to drive staff performance, accountability and encourages a culture that delivers on performance metrics
- Identifying opportunities for better overhead reporting including benchmarking with other Metricon business units
- Monitor and identify overhead cost saving opportunities
- Partnering with Operation Managers to improve key drivers of operational and workflow efficiency
- Partnering with Construction Managers to improve key drivers of construction efficiency and drive revenue improvement; and
- Identifying opportunities for better operational and construction reporting and creating and maintain reports with the reports team.

- Must have successfully completed CA/CPA qualifications
- Extensive experience as a Management Accountant or a min. of 6 years in an accounting position within a fast-paced environment
- Skills and experience within a large financial system as well as an intermediate level of experience with excel
- Ability to work to deadlines, effectively time manage and flexibility to adapt to workload volumes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for dealing with key stakeholders at all levels (Financial & Non Financial).
