The Role:
As a Management Accountant, you will be the optimisation of our accounting practices and financial reporting procedures to aid business growth, and abilities to provide valuable insights and foresight through analysis to support management decisions and future planning. Your major duties and responsibilities include:
- Monitor the company’s business accounts and accounting records and provide assurance about compliance and accuracy of financial information.
- Analyse financial performance and key financial information, identify trends and strategies, and provide financial advice to our management team on the future market forecast and financial planning.
- Improve accounting systems, processes, financial reporting practices and analytical techniques to enhance the quality of financial documents and produce financial data that accurately presents real-time financial status.
- Supervise the preparation of and review of the financial statements such as profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, and cash flow statements, and provide management reports and explanations to assist with key decision making on business growth.
- Provide budgets, plan, and forecast cash flow according to trends analysis, control cash flow and minimise cash flow risks.
- Provide tax planning and optimise the taxation process by addressing the extended payment issues in real estate projects to achieve satisfactory and complied results
- Monitor expenditures in operations, marketing, and labour costing analyse income and expenditure across the departments and recommend strategies for cost control resource allocation.
- Analyse project finances including commissions, construction costs/quality and marketing input, and evaluate real estate pricing and profitability and turnover ratio to help management make decisions.
- Monitor profit margin and income/expenditure ratio of the construction projects, evaluate cost structure and performance with cooperative developers, and builders, and prepare reports to support project assessment and increase cost performance and profitability.
- Enhance the budgeting approval process for construction projects, assess the company’s capital and resources, and provide advice on budget allocation and long- term planning in accordance with the company’s development goals.
- Understand the potential risks and constraints on the projects such as delivery delays, procurement lead times, and design overruns, and provide mitigation strategies for risk management.
- Collaborate with the management team, stakeholders and financial institutions and maintain a strong relationship with cooperative partners such as developers and master builders.
- Lead the accounting team in reviewing internal controls and periodical audits
- Keep abreast of regulatory changes and industry development and ensure to implement best practice accounting standards.
Skilled and experience requirements:
- Have more than 2 years of work experience in the position of General Accountant or
Management Accountant.
- Master’s degree in professional accounting or equivalent
- CPA or CA member
- Familiar with Construction Industry
- Good at MYOB & XERO,
- Good at Ms Excel, Ms office suites,
- Bilingual Language is preferred, especially Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
- Excellent analytical skills, a quick learner and excellent problem-solving skills and teamwork and leadership skills.
