We support culture though the power of artistry and believe that every team and every person within UMP plays a role in this unique and inspiring company vision.Reporting to the Vice President of the Finance team, this role will play a critical role in the preparation and submission of precise and timely management and statutory reporting, whilst ensuring UMG accounting policies, internal control procedures, and UMG policies comply with the code of conduct.THE ROLE:Accounting and management reporting requirements
- Maintain precise account which confirm with UMG policies
- Prepare SAP account reconciliations with supporting documentation as required
- Review reconciliations and initiate corrections as required
- Submit SAP account reconciliations with supporting documentation
- Assistance and preparation of precise and timely monthly management reporting for submission to the corporate finance team
- Assist with the preparation of the local statutory accounts and assist with the preparation of income tax returns for submission to tax advisers
- Assist with other returns as required
- Ensure all fixed assets bought are pre approved as required by UMG internal control procedure
- Maintain the fixed asset register ensuring all new assets are itemised
- Review and maintenance of UMG internal control narratives, flowcharts etc and ensure all documentation is up to date
- Assist with the compliance to the local table of authority and the global transactions approval
- Perform UMG internal control walk through testing in all processes when required and make any necessary improvements that results from this
- Preparation and submission of monthly UMG control templates and supporting documentation
- Active involvement with the day to day operations of the UMPG operations to ensure efficiency and compliance to all UMG internal control requirements or statutory requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or similar field
- Must be CA or CPA qualified (or very close to completion)
- Experience with SAP strongly desirable (but not a dealbreaker!)
- Extensive accounting knowledge with +3 years working experience
- Strong statutory company tax knowledge
- Strong organisational skills and experience in working with tight deadlines
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and thoroughness
- Excellent drafting skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
