Job Title:Management Accountant

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 + Super (depending on experience)

Location: Melbourne, VIC

Your role will be pivotal in analysing financial data, crafting budgets, overseeing expenditures, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to underpin strategic decision-making by the management team.
• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, highlighting key variance analyses.
• Collaborate closely with department heads to formulate and manage budgets effectively.
• Assist in crafting financial forecasts to guide organisational planning.
• Monitor and analyse costs, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
• Offer insights into cost drivers and recommend measures to enhance cost-effectiveness.
• Contribute to the formulation and execution of the organization's financial strategy.
• Provide financial insights to support long-term planning and decision-making.
• Ensure the accurate and timely completion of month-end closing processes.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and swiftly address emerging issues.
• Work collaboratively with various departments to gather financial information and insights.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the broader finance team to achieve organizational goals.

Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CA, CPA) is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and foster strong working relationships.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to precision and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet stringent deadlines.
• Adaptability and willingness to embrace new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
