A government organisation in one of the fastest growing regions of South West Sydney requires an experienced Management Accountant/ Business Partner to join their finance team for a 9 month temporary contract.
Your new role
Working with the senior management accounting team, your key duties will include:
- Managing annual budgeting processes for dedicated business unit
- Monthly and quarterly budget analysis and forecasting reviews
- General ledger management and improvements
- Financial analysis and insights for business unit partners
- Monthly reviews of resource budgets and overheads
- Assist with quarterly budget reviews of allocated business unit managers including commentary and recommendations
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience in a management accounting or finance Business Partnering role with responsibility for multiple business units
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial information to non-finance team members
- Extensive experience of budget planning and management in large complex organisations
- Strong analysis and insight development skills
- Previous experience within local government would be ideal
- Strong systems reporting skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting ideal
