Management Accountant

Macmahon are seeking an enthusiastic professional to join our motivated and results driven finance team as a Management Accountant supporting operations with data analysis and reporting. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to Macmahon's continued success.
This role is based at the Macmahon Brisbane Office on Level 21, conveniently located a 2 minute walk from Brisbane Central Station. The office boasts end of journey facilities for those self-powering their commute.
The role

• Prepare, review and analyse operations monthly results
• Provide monthly management accounts to the Operations team
• Business partnering and correspondence with a range of stakeholders in the business
• Participate in monthly BU meetings to improve understanding of operations including providing accounting advice as required
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and key contacts in relation to project cost controls and commercial related matters
• Month end reconciliations & journal preparation
• Assist with the half-year and year-end audits
• Provide support for the compilation of the data required in the annual report
• Assist in the yearly budget preparation and quarterly reforecast
• Provide adhoc reporting and analysis to Commercial Managers and the finance team
• Continuous development of financial processes and procedures to increase the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting

• Strong management accounting skills
• CA / CPA Qualified (Preferable)
• Understanding of financial accounting and the mining industry
• Financial modelling skills
• Technically strong accounting skills
• Intermediate level Excel skills
