Are you an experienced Management Accountant seeking a short-term contract opportunity? We have an exciting role based in The Hunter that might be the perfect fit for you. Our client is a reputable construction company who needs a skilled individual to join their team and assist with various financial tasks for a contract duration of 4-6 months.
The Role:
- Inputting accounts payable invoices and processing ad-hoc payments, including BG fees and bank charges.
- Supporting supplier payments to ensure accuracy.
- Reconciling bank accounts weekly for financial transparency.
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and recording depreciation journals.
- Assisting with month-end processes such as balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and prepayment journals.
- Helping with monthly BAS preparation and ensuring compliance.
- Aiding in debtors collection and contributing to cash flow forecasting.
- Handling ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the accounting team.
About You:
- University degree with commercial experience of 2-5 years.
- Ideally on path to becoming CPA or CA qualified (may be studying currently).
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, including balance sheet and P&L analysis.
- While not mandatory, familiarity with the construction industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive problem-solving approach.
