The team is focused on delivering our companies vision and solving our key clients' problems. Part of the delivery is a freedom to create, implement and refine the software in real market situations whilst working closely with some of Australia's largest transport and supply chain businesses.
PURPOSE
We are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to oversee the financial health and performance of our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for compiling, analysing, and interpreting financial information, providing strategic recommendations, and ensuring the effective financial planning and control of the company's operations. Working directly with the CFO, the Management Accountant will play a crucial role in supporting the business's growth and success.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Compile and analyse financial data to prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Prepare and analyse monthly budget-to-actual results, providing insights and recommendations for financial performance improvement.
- Manage and support ongoing budget and forecast activities, ensuring continuous financial planning and control across all operations.
- Develop and maintain financial forecasting and business case models to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Evaluate business operations, revenue, and expenditure trends, KPIs and financial commitments, providing strategic recommendations and solutions to address financial challenges.
- Build out our automated invoicing process with CTO and Customer Success Manager.
- Staff payroll.
- Accounts payable and receivable.
- Internal process and approval for developers / office equipment or 3rd party software used by the business.
- Some finance related HR duties such as processing of leave requests and potential staffing requirements.
- Other duties as required.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA or CPA).
- Advanced excel skills.
- Minimum of 4 years accounting experience.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with financial regulations, standards, and compliance.
- Whilst not essential, preferably exposure to HR functions desirable.
